Truth
Who do I say that Jesus Christ is? In the Gospel
of John, Peter was asked this question. I believe
it is a question that everyone has to answer some
day….. Jesus Christ is God. God is so awesome
and wonderful that for us to even begin to understand
who He is, He had to reveal Himself to us in three
persons. The three are one … and they are
…the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
One God – three persons. Think of it this
way…water can appear in three phases: liquid
(aqueous water); solid (ice); gas (steam). All
three are fully water. Jesus is the Son of God.
Though His fleshly existence began about 2000
years ago, Jesus has always existed. He is eternal,
and all things were created through Him. As the
Son of God, Jesus is God. The
Bible says that “All have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God”. Because we
have broken God’s commandments we are
not worthy of Him and His kingdom (Heaven).
Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen? Have
you ever taken the Lord’s name in vain?
Have you ever looked upon a member of the opposite
sex with lust? If so you are a lying, thieving,
blasphemous, adulterer at heart. I know I am.
The Bible tells us that such people will have
no part in the Kingdom of Heaven. God created
a place for them. A place called Hell. In Hell,
those who die in their sins will spend all eternity
apart from God and His goodness and “there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”.
If there is one thing I can’t stand it’s
a watered down gospel. HELL EXISTS.
God
made a way for us to be saved from Hell. He
sent His only Son to die on the cross for us.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was
buried and then rose from the dead on the third
day just as He predicted. In the Old Testament,
God demanded lambs be sacrificed on an alter
to pay the price for sin. Jesus became our sacrifice
for sin, once and for all. Since “all
have sinned…”, then “all”
need to be covered under Jesus’ sacrifice
to be redeemed from those sins. To be covered…one
must repent, ask forgiveness, and accept the
sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. He died for
you!
You

Every word of the Bible is truth. Read it, God
will speak to you through it.
I
have problems with Religion. I guess I’m
not a very “Religious” person. I’ve
never been too concerned with the traditions
of men. One thing I do have is a real and growing
relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my Lord
and Savior.
